Contrairement \u00e0 la vitamine K1 (phylloquinone), principalement impliqu\u00e9e dans la coagulation sanguine, la vitamine K2 joue un r\u00f4le central dans la gestion du calcium : elle veille \u00e0 ce que le calcium se d\u00e9pose dans les os et les dents, tout en emp\u00eachant son accumulation dans les vaisseaux sanguins et les tissus mous.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"712\">Un acteur essentiel pour la solidit\u00e9 osseuse<\/h2><p data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"1158\">La vitamine K2 active l\u2019ost\u00e9ocalcine, une prot\u00e9ine produite par les ost\u00e9oblastes (cellules responsables de la formation osseuse), permettant au calcium de se fixer efficacement dans la matrice osseuse. Ce m\u00e9canisme renforce la densit\u00e9 min\u00e9rale osseuse, limite la d\u00e9min\u00e9ralisation et contribue \u00e0 la pr\u00e9vention de l\u2019ost\u00e9oporose et des fractures, notamment chez les femmes m\u00e9nopaus\u00e9es et les personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es, populations particuli\u00e8rement \u00e0 risque.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"1160\" data-end=\"1215\">Protection cardiovasculaire : le paradoxe du calcium<\/h2><p data-start=\"1217\" data-end=\"1702\">La vitamine K2 joue \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le crucial dans la pr\u00e9vention des calcifications art\u00e9rielles. Elle active la prot\u00e9ine Gla de la matrice (MGP), qui emp\u00eache le d\u00e9p\u00f4t de calcium dans les parois des art\u00e8res et des tissus mous.
